Narvik class
[edit]How exactly does the Narvik class destroyer match up with the List of Kriegsmarine ships? Looks like a discrepancy to me. Oberiko 04:39, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
- I was about to ask you the same thing. HMCS Haida but Z 1936 identifies Z-32 as a 36A, could have been a typo in the original? GraemeLeggett 09:58, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not sure at all. Unfortunately I don't have any good naval books at the moment. Oberiko 14:29, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
Italics
[edit]I know italics are used for ships themselves, but are they also used for ship classes? Oberiko 14:40, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
- It seems to be the practice, helps distinguish between classes named after a boat eg "Kent class" and those named after groups eg "Town class". I leave the letter ones alone "K class submarine", not "K class submarine". GraemeLeggett 15:00, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
Tirpitz
[edit]Shouldn't the Tirpitz be next to the Bismarck? David schouten12345 15:40, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
- Its the classes of ships not the actual ships themselves so only Gneisenau (class) and not Gneisenau and Scharnhorst. If you leave you mouse over it the pop-up should show you (in Windows and IE for me)GraemeLeggett 15:57, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
E-boat
[edit]Why does the not lead to E-boat? And why do the class names in the torpedo boat section of the template not match the names referenced in the E-boat article? 145.253.108.22 11:33, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- Just to clarify, it does now; though when this was queried, "Torpedo boat" referred to these things, not E-boats. Xyl 54 (talk) 22:39, 6 January 2018 (UTC)
