Nomination of Syrian literature for Vital articles, level 5

[edit]

Hi, do you want to support this nomination? Thanks, Munfarid1 (talk) 20:20, 26 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, how are you doing. I saw your amazing work every now and then. Stay healthy and take care FuzzyMagma (talk) 16:29, 27 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your support and continued interest. - As you might have seen, I have been writing about 19th-century photographers in Africa, a worthwhile field for me. This also gives me a chance to present their images in galleries w/out copyright issues. :) History provides some relief of contemporary depressing developments in our mistreated world. - Was happy to nominate poor Fatima Hassouna for DYK, however, that received 18.000 visits. - Hope you are enjoying life and your continued interests. Cheers, Munfarid1 (talk) 18:23, 27 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
may she rest in peace. I saw the nom and saw her work. An amazing life that was taken from this world.
You did great work, and uploaded some amazing images.
I am too focusing more in understanding how Sudan end-up here (again and again). But it is really depressing anywhere you look. Maybe I should try lighter topics.
On a positive note, I am looking for a cultural topic to tackle, so I would appreciate any recommendations. FuzzyMagma (talk) 18:40, 27 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You work actually led me to this article (lost track how I ended up there but started with Walther Dobbertin) and it is a really funny article. FuzzyMagma (talk) 18:45, 27 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, this really is funny. With your wide-ranging interests, not surprised you read German, too.
On another issue: Are you interested in using this for WP? https://www.dabangasudan.org/en/all-news/article/sudan-media-forum-condemns-proposed-press-law-amendments-calls-for-independent-media
Take a good rest and looking forward to reading your articles soon. Munfarid1 (talk) 06:25, 5 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
