More Iceland YE charts

[edit]

Hello again. I did some more digging and managed to find the Icelandic year-end charts for 1995 and 1996, but if there's one for 1999 out there, I haven't found it yet. Once again, the text is printed sideways, which explains why nothing shows up in the search results. ResPM come to my window 19:02, 30 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

All the Way... A Decade of Song

[edit]

Good evening, there exist seven different versions the album All the Way... A Decade of Song. The track list in the Brazilian and the French editions are the same, only the order of the songs is different. In such case, we should keep one of them closed and the other one opened, but I don't know which should be which, and in which position they should be placed in the Track listing section. Maybe both at the end. Johnnydado12 (talk) 02:02, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Johnnydado12: Hi. They are not the same. Brazilian edition includes "If You Asked Me To" and "Sola Otra Vez", and French "All by Myself" and "Immortality". Revert your edits in the All the Way... A Decade of Song article please. Max24 (talk) 19:37, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Editor Filmgirlgz' unnecessary changes to Celine Dion and Mariah Carey articles

[edit]

Hey Max. I've just come across the editor Filmgirlgz who overcomplicates track listings (especially those of compilations by denoting which studio album each song was originally on), unnecessarily capitalise letters, disregard acronyms (and insists on periods in "UK" and "US"), and insists on putting notes below track listings about which songs are covers and which aren't. As you're one of the main editors looking after Celine Dion articles, I thought you might want to keep an eye out and revert this editor's contributions—they look pretty extensive through Celine and Mariah's catalogues, especially over the last month. I've reverted most of their current edits, but it looks like months of their edits have been kept on these albums by Celine and Mariah. If you get time, would you be able to go through them and weed them out? @Binksternet: as Binksternet reverted this user multiple times and they returned to restore their edits soon after: could you help keep an eye on this user too? I'll inform an admin if they keep going. Thanks. Ss112 08:38, 16 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Ss112: Oh no, not him again. I've warned him on his talk page and reverted his edits in September 2021 but I see he's back. I will go through Celine's pages and fix it. Thanks for telling me. Max24 (talk) 20:09, 19 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Help on new article

[edit]

Hi Max. A few weeks ago I made a new article Celine Dion records and achievements. Since you're one of the long-time editors of Celine Dion articles, maybe you can help prove it in your spare time. Thanks! Loibird90 (talk) 12:13, 13 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi Max. Regarding this edit, "standard edition" is not really a satisfactory headline or table caption (MOS:TABLECAPTION). It doesn't tell visually impaired readers that it is a track listing, which the caption should do regardless of the preceding section heading. I'm aware other pop albums simply say just "standard edition" where they should elaborate as I've done on this article but that doesn't mean we should be replicating that misguided habit. Secondly, as I just pointed out in my edit summary, removing the wording "bonus tracks" from the headline when the editions that carry them call them bonus tracks on the affixed sticker should not have been done. Even if the tracks were not labelled bonus tracks, that wording should still be present to indicate the difference from the main track listing, which is the presence of additional tracks rather than a listing of another entire edition. Thanks. Ss112 04:33, 29 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Ss112: Hi. I agree. The most imporant thing for me was not the format, but to add info that editions with 2 bonus tracks are not only released in Japan or Target in the USA. Evevn in my country, Poland, we can buy CD with "Heavenly Sent" and "Kissing You" in one of the stores. I just ordered mine. I also added Apple Music edition, which was not mentioned at all in the article. Aside from Apple, it was also released on iTunes, and both versions are charting in many countries. Nice to hear from you. Regards. Max24 (talk) 08:06, 29 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for catching my mistake on A New Day

[edit]

A rather prolific date vandal had been at the article several times and I borked it when I tried to make sure everything was back to normal. Very much appreciated. Millahnna (talk) 18:11, 13 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

French Album Sales / InfoDisc

[edit]

Hi Max, long time. I hope you are well. I notice we don't use this anymore and I'm not even sure if this site still exists? Do you have any information on this? Thanks!--PeterGriffinTalk2Me 15:26, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. There was a conversation in 2022 here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Record_charts/Archive_19#Infodisc.fr. Some editors thought that the sales numbers from infodisc are this website's own estimates and removed therem from articles. Max24 (talk) 09:10, 15 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I Am: Celine Dion soundtrack

Is there a way we can lock that topic or something so that person/those people stop editing the tracklist for A New Day Has Come? WikiWizard457 (talk) 23:51, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
