Non-free rationale for File:Super earth flag.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Super earth flag.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. TheGreatestLuvofAll (talk) 17:23, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Super earth flag.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Super earth flag.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Orphaned non-free image File:Super earth flag.jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Super earth flag.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. TheWikiToby (talk) 02:04, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Revert on my recent edit

[edit]

I recently made edits to the furthur bus page that were reverted. I am helping George Walker with repairs on the original bus and have the means to prove this fact. Why was my edit reverted. Definingwillow (talk) 18:32, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The second edit is unneeded and not relevant to the bus(first edit was also reverted along with the second one accidentally), also, since you claim that you are helping Walker, that means a possible COI. I'll have to check around if this is a COI or not. Muffin(Spreading Democracy, one edit at a time) 18:52, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's all relevant what do you mean? And what's a COI? All i wanted was to update the page due to there not being enough tech savy pranksters. What kind of evidence do i need to provide since I'm the primary source of the claim. Definingwillow (talk) 18:59, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
In this edit, [1], you added some unrelevant information that doesn't help the article. For information on COI, search for this article.
Wikipedia:Conflict of interest
No evidence is needed to show you're the main source of the claim. Muffin(Spreading Democracy, one edit at a time) 19:03, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
ok how about this, what is I do an interview with George talking about the restoration and post that. Then use that to cite my claim. Would that be satisfactory Definingwillow (talk) 20:18, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Absolutely not. That would be considered original research, which must never be allowed on any article. If someone else uses your interview as a citation, then that would be fine. But that's one problem. The other is verifiability. The source must be known as reliable before it is allowed. You can try asking for help here on verifying your source.

Rollback granted

[edit]

Hi MuffinHunter0. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:

  • Being granted rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or Ultraviolet. It just adds a [Rollback] button next to a page's latest live revision - that's all. It does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear and unambiguous cases of vandalism only. Never use rollback to revert good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war, and it should never be used in a content-related dispute to restore the page to your preferred revision. If rollback is abused or used for this purpose or any other inappropriate purpose, the rights will be revoked.
  • Use common sense. If you're not sure about something, ask!

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Just Step Sideways from this world ..... today 18:23, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You reverted my edits on Timeline of the Barack Obama presidency and Timeline of the Joe Biden presidency, but please kindly note that the article name Timeline of the Donald Trump presidencies has already been changed to plural form. Thanks. 129.104.241.89 (talk) 20:22, 6 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Both the Obama and the Biden articles' names have not been changed yet, and just because a related article has it different way, doesn't mean those related should be changed to match it. If/Once the name changes for both, you'll be able to correct the other 2. Muffin(Spreading Democracy, one edit at a time) 20:27, 6 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello we were wondering why you removed a quote a colleague of mine added recently? Mike80h (talk) 15:43, 7 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The reason the edit was undone is because there are no sources to verify the quote was said. If you are able to provide a reliable source for the quote, you should be allowed to add it back. Muffin(Spreading Democracy, one edit at a time) 15:48, 7 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:53, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Why do you restore obvious CITE SPAM?

Clearly you did not bother to check the edit history.

Next time, make a message about it. Might you explain why it's cite spam? Muffin(Spreading Democracy, one edit at a time) 20:34, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I made a message about it being cite Spam. See the users edit history! Clearly COI self-cite spam! Noimprovement of the article, only dumping another cite. 2A02:3100:3E00:2300:C401:77F:3413:B9A9 (talk) 20:42, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

How can I add my personal article on Wikipedia * --Maxmealo (talk) 09:11, 11 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

It depends on what you mean by "personal" article. If it is about you or someone with a close relationship with you, then that would be a violation of NPOV[1], and most likely would not pass the creation process, and I would highly advise against trying to create it. But if it's about something else, then use this guide linked below to assist you.

Question from Jwrogers3rd (20:53, 11 May 2025)

[edit]

hello! I am struggling here. I want to add a page to wiki about a

mixed drink I while on vacation. Much like a margarita, or Old Fashioned. I am not interested in editing other peoples pages. I am using sandbox, but wanted to add the origin step on the page. instead it added something that I cant figure out how to remove. --Jwrogers3rd (talk) 20:53, 11 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hello! So first of all, thanks for using your sandbox for article tests, it can save other editors some time when patrolling. Secondly, you added a template. Templates are usually used to show repetitive information across multiple articles. I suspect you were trying to add an origin section, instead of a template. Remove the template code, and add this, == Origin ==, to have a heading with Origin as its title. You can also use visual code if source code is too hard to work with. To switch to visual code, look for the pen symbol next to the preview button. Click it and switch to visual code.
If you need something clarified, feel free ask me. Muffin(Spreading democracy, one edit at a time) 14:43, 12 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I don’t know how to remove the origin template. I tried to add origin using the text you provided, but it doesn’t seem to work. Jwrogers3rd (talk) 02:02, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I've gone ahead and deleted the template for you. If something of this sort arises again, you should try editing around in source code, and use the preview button to check it. Muffin(Spreading democracy, one edit at a time) 04:46, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, nice to meet you. I am unsure what to do with this page? It honestly just seems like some lawyer has created a page to advertise his business. --83poolie (talk) 06:08, 12 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Nice to meet you too! Anyways, it also seems that way to me. We already have a notice tag regarding the potential advertising, but it wouldn't be harmful if someone started up a RfC(Request for Comment) about what to do with the page. Perhaps someone can handle the fixing of the content, or we can start the deletion process. Muffin(Spreading democracy, one edit at a time) 14:34, 12 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

hi , i want to write about an indie game developer known as classtro , he has so many creations , some of them are known in itch.io and indiedb.com also he made music and ai movies , he has so many interesting stuff , how can i do this? --Raventoarokasiojack (talk) 11:16, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! So first of all, I noticed you tried to create a draft and sent it to AfC. And it was rejected, not declined. Because it was rejected, you are no longer allowed to resubmit it for consideration. The main reason for rejection is, "This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia.". If you click on the link, it will send you to the notability guidelines. To sum it up, your topic is not sourced by other sources enough to be deemed notable enough for Wikipedia, and you cannot resubmit your draft. how can i make it fix this or recreate a better one Raventoarokasiojack (talk) 18:46, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Like I said, you are unable to either fix this or recreate it, due to the reviewer deeming your topic (Classtro) not being notable enough for inclusion on Wikipedia. Muffin(Spreading democracy, one edit at a time) 20:40, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Onto your question, there is no limit to suggested edits, but if they aren't showing up, then perhaps you should try random page edits. Hello! So to cite sources, the steps are very easy to follow. First, cite reliable sources. The rest won't matter if you use a source that is unreliable. Next, you can add a citation by selecting "cite" from the drop-down menu at the top of the editing box. In markup (or source code), you can add a citation manually using ref tags.
