South Korean boy group Stray Kids have released four studio albums (three Korean and one Japanese), four compilation albums, one reissue, fourteen extended plays (eleven Korean and three Japanese), two single albums, and thirty-five singles. As of October 2022, Stray Kids sold over 10 million album shipments, consisting of 9.4 million copies of Korean releases and 820,000 of Japanese releases.[1] According to Statista, as of 2023, the group sold approximately 21.03 million total copies.[2] The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) ranked Stray Kids as the seventh best-selling artist globally of 2022,[3] and the third best-selling artist globally of 2023.[4]

Following the completion of the eponymous survival show in 2017, Stray Kids released an extended play (EP) Mixtape which debuted at number two on Gaon Album Chart and Billboard World Albums chart.[5][6] The group officially debuted in 2018 with EP I Am Not, followed by other two I Am series EPs, I Am Who and I Am You. In 2019, Stray Kids released Clé series EPs: Clé 1: Miroh, Clé 2: Yellow Wood, and Clé: Levanter. The group earned their first South Korean music program win with the fourth EP's lead single "Miroh".[7]

Stray Kids debuted in Japan with the Japanese version of "Levanter", "Double Knot", and "My Pace", as well as the re-recorded version of their songs from the previous album compiled in the compilation album SKZ2020.[8] The album debuted at number three on Oricon Albums Chart and Billboard Japan Hot Albums.[9][10] The group also released its first Japanese single "Top" and its B-side "Slump" which was used as the opening and ending theme of the anime Kami no Tō -Tower of God-.[11] The single debuted at number one on the Japanese Oricon Singles Chart, making Stray Kids the fourth foreign male artists to debut at number one on the chart with their first single.[12] Not long after, the group released its first Japanese EP All In which debuted at number two on the Oricon Albums Chart and Billboard Japan Hot Albums.[13][14]

Stray Kids' first studio album Go Live debuted at number one on the weekly Gaon Album Chart, sold 243,462 copies by the end of the month, and peaked at number five on the monthly Gaon Album Chart.[15] The Korea Music Content Association (KMCA) certified the album platinum in August 2020, the group's first album to achieve this.[16] Its lead single "God's Menu" became the group's first single to be certified gold by Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).[17] The second studio album Noeasy became Stray Kids' first million-selling album in August 2021, made the group to be the first JYP Entertainment artist to sell more than one million copies of an album.[18] Its lead single "Thunderous" peaked at number 33 on Gaon Digital Chart[19] and at number 80 on Billboard Global 200,[20] and earned six wins on music programs.[21]

In February 2022, Stray Kids signed to Republic Records for promotions in the United States.[22] After that, the group released four EPs and one studio album: Oddinary, Maxident (both 2022), 5-Star, Rock-Star (both 2023), and Ate (2024); all five releases peaked at number one on the US Billboard 200 and entered the UK Albums Chart,[23] making them the first group and the second act to debut at the top of Billboard 200 with their first-five-charted albums.[24] Maxident became Stray Kids' and JYPE's first album to sell over two million and three million copies,[25] and be certified triple million by KMCA.[26] On June 1, 2023, 5-Star had exceeded 4.93 million pre-orders 5.13 million,[27] and became the most pre-ordered release in K-pop history at that time.[28] "Lalalala" from Rock-Star became the group's first entry on the US Billboard Hot 100 at number 90.[29]
