Help me

[edit]

Some fans and friends have brought to my attention just how much my page needs editing. Whoever put it up messed up, repeats and left out my writing and directing etc. I am wiki illiterate and have little time to fix and add stuff like my tv writer/directer debit holiday baggage with Cheryl Ladd and barry Bostwick Premiered on lifetime. Do i need a talk back page?

Plz advise

Thanks

Seeking dispute resolution advise

[edit]

Hi there,

So there is a page for this guy [3] who is a businessman from Russia who has a large philanthropic activity too. The page is written completely as a press-release from his affiliates. His business activities are covered very briefly and in superlative terms. When I try adding details of his business activities (all well sourced) or refer to his as an oligarch (which is sourced too), or add references to his involvement in some political and business wars, all that gets removed. I add the "neutrality disputed" banner and started a talk page to discuss the matters with the other editor, but no response so far. Just wondering what next can I do?

Thanks, Meisam

Guild of Copy Editors March 2012 backlog elimination drive update

GOCE March 2012 Backlog Elimination progress graphs

Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors March 2012 Backlog elimination drive! Here's the mid-drive newsletter.

Participation: We have had 58 people sign up for this drive so far, which compares favorably with our last drive, and 27 have copy-edited at least one article. If you have signed up but have not yet copy-edited any articles, please consider doing so. Every bit helps! If you haven't signed up yet, it's not too late. Join us!

Progress report: Our target of completing the 2010 articles has almost been reached, with only 56 remaining of the 194 we had at the start of the drive. The last ones are always the most difficult, so thank you if you are able to help copy-edit any of the remaining articles. We have reduced the total backlog by 163 articles so far.

Special thanks: Special thanks to Stfg, who has been going through the backlog and doing some preliminary vetting of the articles—removing copyright violations, doing initial clean-up, and nominating some for deletion. This work has helped make the drive a more pleasant experience for all our volunteers.

Articles for Creation urgently needs YOUR help!

Articles for Creation is desperately short of reviewers! We are looking for urgent help, from experienced editors, in reviewing submissions in the pending submissions queue. Currently there are 1017 submissions waiting to be reviewed and many help requests at our Help Desk.

Do you have what it takes?
  1. Are you familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines?
  2. Do you know what Wikipedia is and is not?
  3. Do you have a working knowledge of the Manual of Style, particularly article naming conventions?
  4. Are you autoconfirmed?
  5. Can you review submissions based on their individual merits?

If the answer to these questions is yes, then please read the reviewing instructions and donate a little of your time to helping tackle the backlog. You might wish to add {{AFC status}} or {{AfC Defcon}} to your userpage, which will alert you to the number of open submissions.

PS: we have a great AFC helper script at User:Timotheus Canens/afchelper4.js which helps in reviewing in just few edits easily!

We would greatly appreciate your help. Currently, only a small handful of users are reviewing articles. Any help, even if it's just 2 or 3 reviews, it would be extremely beneficial.
On behalf of the Articles for Creation project,
