Šumvald (German: Schönwald) is a municipality and village in Olomouc District in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,600 inhabitants.
Šumvald lies approximately 29 kilometres (18 mi) north of Olomouc and 197 km (122 mi) east of Prague.
