3C 212 is a quasar[1] located in the constellation Cancer. At redshift 1.048, it is one of the luminous and distant AGNs (Active Galactic Nuclei) observed.[3]
3C 212 is classified as radio-loud and is considered to be a prototype "red quasar",[4][5][6] with a faint optical counterpart. In additional, it is said to contain an X-ray absorber.[3]
