Abner Afuang (born March 22, 1944) is a Filipino politician and former police officer of Makati who served as Mayor of Pagsanjan, Laguna. He is notable for burning a Chinese flag, and pouring water on Hayden Kho in 2009 while in the middle of a senate hearing.[1][2][3]
Political career
[edit]Afuang ran for Pagsanjan mayoral elections in 1998 and won. When he formerly ran for re-election in 2001, and attempted vice governor seat in 2007 and senate twice (2019, 2022), but all lost.[1][4]
Popular culture
[edit]Afuang's life was featured on a movie starring Philip Salvador.[5]
