Ace Banzuelo (born August 10, 2000) is a Filipino singer, songwriter and musician. He gained mainstream popularity of his song "Muli" and it ranked as the seventh highest-charting song on the Billboard Philippines Songs in 2022, considering only its performance during a 22-week tracking period.[1][2] He is currently signed under Sony Music Philippines.[3][4]

His 2020 single "Muli" has become the most streamed OPM song in the platform aside from placing third in the Spotify's Philippines Top 200. It also ranked second in the Viral 50 Philippines chart.[5][6]

Early life[edit]

Banzuelo was born and raised in Laguna. He not grown up in a musical family,[7] he started singing as the age of 4, he was influence of Hip-hop music but after years he constantly joining local auditions, singing contests and television shows.[8][9] And he turned 13, he was already writing and producing his own recordings as he also began to experiment with different genres.[10]

Artistry and influences[edit]

Banzuelo described as indie rock,[11] EDM,[12] pop,[13] synth-pop,[14][15][16][17] and city pop.[18][19]

Banzuelo cited the international bands such as Linkin Park, The 1975, Phoenix and Daft Punk, he also mentioned the DJ artists such as Skrillex, Zedd and Avicii as additional musical influences for his early instrumentation.[20] He also cited Michael Jackson because he was young, he loved dancing.[citation needed]
