AussieMite is an Australian Yeast Extract savoury food spread. Its primary uses are for toasts and sandwiches.[1] It was founded by Roger Ramsey in 2001.[2]
History
[edit]AussieMite was founded by Roger Ramsey, a pilot and the founder of AussieMite. AussieMite was launched into Australian supermarkets in 2001 and in 2011 AussieMite was launched into the United Kingdom, The United States of America, United Arab Emirates and South East Asia.[3] It is a registered trademark in Australia, the United Kingdom, European Union, United States of America, United Arab Emirates, Japan, South East Asia and Asia.[4][5]
Ingredients
[edit]The main ingredients of AussieMite are corn and maltodextrin. Other ingredients are yeast, sugar, citric acid and caramel color.[6][non-primary source needed]

AussieMite is made from GM-free vegan and gluten-free ingredients. AussieMite contains less than 1 gram of fat. AussieMite Yeast Extract contains significant amounts of B Vitamins and minerals B1 Thiamine, B2 Riboflavin, B3 Niacin, Vitamin B6, B9 folic acid, Vitamin B12 and Iron.
