easyFoodstore was a discount supermarket in London, England. The store had no item brands, and only had about 100 items such as tinned goods, pasta, rice, and cleaning products.[1]

History[edit]

First announced by easyGroup in 2013,[2][3][4][5] the easyFoodstore supermarket opened in London in February 2016, located next to easyBus House (the headquarters of easyBus Ltd).[6] The supermarket charged just 25p for essential food items.[7] Just days after opening its doors it was forced to shut temporarily after running out of stock.[8] The store now sells items at 50p each, with 25p returning during promotional periods only.[9][10]

By late 2021 the trial store closed[11] and as of September 2023 no plans have been announced regarding the opening of the previous store, or any other.
