Elina Lampela (born 18 February 1998) is a Finnish athlete who competes in the pole vault.
Career
[edit]In July 2021 Lampela was confirmed as part of the Finnish team for the delayed 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.[1]
In 2022 Lampela took part in the World Championships in Eugene, Oregon and the European Championships in Munich.[2] She qualified for the final in Munich and finished eleventh overall.[3]
Lampela competed at the 2023 European Athletics Indoor Championships.[4] She competed at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest.[5]
She was named in the Finnish team for the 2024 European Athletics Championships in Rome and placed in a share for fourth place overall with a height of 4.58 metres.[6][7]
Personal life
[edit]Lampela moved from Oulu in northern Finland to Helsinki in 2018 and lives in Viikki.[8] Lampela is studying molecular bioscience at the University of Helsinki.[9]
