Ewan Horrocks is an English actor. He has appeared in the Netflix series The Last Kingdom as Ælfweard of Wessex and in the historical drama series Domina as Drusus.
Early life[edit]
He was born and raised in Halifax, Yorkshire. He has one sister. He worked as a lifeguard in a local swimming pool prior to acting. Aged 16 years-old, he joined the National Youth Theatre and an acting school in Manchester.[1][2]
Career[edit]
Horrocks had his first television role playing young Drusus, the son of Livia Drusilla, in Roman historical Domina in 2021.[3][4]
In 2022, Horrocks played Aelfweard, the son of Edward the Elder.[5][6] He reprised the role in the 2023 film The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die.[7]
In 2023, he was cast in The Yellow Tie alongside John Malkovich, playing a young Sergiu Celibidache,[8] and European 20th Century historical drama Miss Fallaci.[9]
Personal life[edit]
He is no relation to actress Jane Horrocks.[10]
