Jordan University Hospital was established in 1973 originally known as the Great Amman Hospital (Arabic: مستشفى عمان الكبير).^[1] In 1975, it became affiliated with the University of Jordan, becoming the first university teaching hospital in Jordan and adopting the name "Jordan University Hospital".

The hospital is situated on Queen Rania Al Abdullah Street, in Jubeiha area.
