Keiko Awaji (淡路恵子, Awaji Keiko, 17 July 1933 – 11 January 2014) was a Japanese stage and film actress.[1]
Awaji appeared in films like Akira Kurosawa's Stray Dog, Keisuke Kinoshita's A Japanese Tragedy, Mark Robson's The Bridges at Toko-Ri and Mikio Naruse's When a Woman Ascends the Stairs.[2]
She died of esophageal cancer in Tokyo on 11 January 2014, aged 80.[1] She was married twice, to Filipino actor Bimbo Danao and to Japanese actor Yorozuya Kinnosuke.
