Kelachay (Persian: كلاچای, Gilaki: کلأچئه), also Romanized as Kelāchāy, Kelā Chāy, also known as Kala Cha,[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Kelachay District of Rudsar County, Gilan province, Iran.[4] It is on the Caspian Sea.

At the 2006 census, its population was 11,304 in 3,338 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 11,936 people in 3,831 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 12,379 people in 4,329 households.[2]
