The Communauté urbaine Le Mans Métropole is the communauté urbaine, an intercommunal structure, centred on the city of Le Mans. It is located in the Sarthe department, in the Pays de la Loire region, northwestern France. It was created in November 1971.[1] Its area is 272.5 km2. Its population was 209,557 in 2020, of which 145,155 in Le Mans proper.[2]
