Leonard West (31 May 1879 – 26 January 1945) was a Scottish international rugby union player.[1]

Rugby Union career[edit]

Amateur career[edit]

He played for Edinburgh University.[2]

He played for Carlisle.[2][3]

He played for London Scottish.[2]

He played for West Hartlepool.[2]

Provincial career[edit]

He represented Edinburgh District in December 1902 against Glasgow District in the inter-city match.[4]

He played for Cities District in January 1903 against Provinces District.[5]

While with Carlisle, he turned out for Anglo-Scots on 24 December 1904.[3]

International career[edit]

He received 9 caps for Scotland.[6]

Medical career[edit]

He obtained his medical degree from Edinburgh University in 1903.[7]

Family[edit]

He was the son of Thomas Edward West (1833–1901).[8] Thomas was a barrister at law.[citation needed]

His mother was Mary Cordelia Parrinton (1844–1908).[citation needed]
