List of ship decommissionings in 1905

The list of ship decommissionings in 1905 includes a chronological list of ships decommissioned in 1905. In cases where no official decommissioning ceremony was held, the date of withdrawal from service may be used instead. For ships lost at sea, see list of shipwrecks in 1905 instead.

Abarenda reached Norfolk on 14 January 1905. Late in the month, the ship made another coaling trip to Puerto Rico before again going out of commission at Norfolk on 21 February 1905. At that time, the ship's Navy crew was removed; and, that afternoon, the vessel was placed in service with a merchant crew.
