Lolita Yermak (Ukrainian: Лоліта Єрмак, born 22 March 1996) is a Ukrainian ice dancer. With her partner Oleksiy Shumsky, she is the 2014 International Cup of Nice, bronze medalist, and Ukrainian National (2014) senior silver medalist.
With her former partner Oleksiy Khimich, she is the 2013 Ukrainian National Champion, 25th Junior World Championship Milan Italy, 2012 8th Junior Grand-Prix LakePlacid, 2012 1st Nesquik Cup, Poland. With former partner Alexander Liubchenko she won Tirnavia Cup (2010) gold medalist, Ice Challenge Graz (2010) silver medalist.
Career
[edit]Lolita started her figure skating career at an early age as a single skater. Her first significant competition was the Youth Ukrainian Championship in Dnipro City. Lolita got her first bronze medal at age 8 with her coach Vitali Egorov.
Lolita Yermak had a proposal to try an ice dance career. Her first ice skating partner was Taras Semotiuk, season 2007/2010. Season 2008/2009, with her partner Taras, she is 4th Novice level Youth Ukrainian Championship. Season 2009/2010 Lolita with her partner are the 2010 1st Ondrej Nepela Championship, 5th Junior level Junior Cup of Ukraine, 10th Junior level Junior Ukrainian Championship. Season 2009/2010 Lolita and Taras were 3nd Dolgova Memorial, 2nd Junior level Junior Ukrainian Championship, 3nd Cup of Ukraine.
In 2010, she made her ISU Junior Grand Prix debut partnered with Alexander Liubchenko. They competed together for two seasons.
In 2012, Yermak teamed up with Oleksiy Khimich. They were sent to the 2013 World Junior Championships, where they placed 25th.
Later in 2013, Yermak teamed up with Oleksiy Shumsky and began competing on the senior level. They won the bronze medal at the Ukrainian Championships in December 2013 and silver medal in December 2014. Their first international medal, bronze, came at the Cup of Nice in October 2014. In February 2015 they were sent to the Winter Universiade, where they placed 9th.
