The Luis Buñuel Memorial Awards (LBMA) formerly known as L’Age D’Or International Art-house Film Festival (LIAFF) is a monthly live screening film festival held in Kolkata, India. The Film Festival started in 2017.[1][2]

The festival bears the name of one of cinema's most influential directors of all time, the Spanish director Luis Buñuel Portolés.[3]

The festival boasts of showing a varied range of national and international feature films as well as short films from all over the world. "Inspire filmmakers and audiences via the transformative power of film," is the festival's stated mission. An audience of film executives and buyers, journalists, film fans, and filmmakers can view features and shorts made by artists from around the world.[3][4]

Awards[edit]

The monthly winners compete for the yearly PIGEON D'OR AWARDS (Best of the best). The champions of each year receive a trophy, certificate, and honours. In addition to this, the winners are highlighted in the CULT CRITIC REVIEW AGGREGATOR.[5]
