Out Ur Body Music is the ninth mixtape by American rapper Lil Skies, released on March 29, 2024, by All We Got Entertainment. This mixtape features no guest appearances and was supported by two singles.
Background[edit]
In 2023 Skies announced he would be releasing a mixtape before the end of the year. It was unexpectedly pushed back however. It was later teased numerous times via Instagram stories and posts. On January 25, 2024, Skies manager confirmed the tape was ready and had been submitted via an Instagram post caption.[3] More teasers were posted via social media throughout February and March. Skies revealed the cover art and track list on March 26, via Instagram.[4] The mixtape was also released on pre sale on Apple Music the same day.[5]
Singles[edit]
Skies released a Mic performance of "Pivot" on YouTube with no prior announcement on January 3, 2024.[6] The song did not release on any streaming platform despite Skies stating, on a now deleted post, that he would release it soon. It was announced to be a part of the mixtape on March 26 when he revealed the track listing.[7]
The official lead single to the mixtape, titled "Thousands", was released February 9, 2024, to all major streaming platforms. The song taps back into Skies old smooth autotuned flows whilst also incorporating his new style. The mixtape's second single "Death" was released March 8, 2024. The song features heavy bass and features an Alternative hip hop style.[1]
