Parineetii (transl. Destiny) is an Indian Hindi-language television drama series that premiered on 14 February 2022 on Colors TV. It digitally streams on JioCinema. Produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Telefilms, it stars Anchal Sahu, Tanvi Dogra, and Ankur Verma.[1][2]
Plot[edit]
Parineet Kakkar and Neeti Juneja are two friends who together are known as Parineetii. Rajeev Bajwa is a fun-loving selfish person. Since he loves Neeti, Rajeev rejects the girl his mother had found for him to marry. However, due to disruption in Pari and Varun's marriage, Rajeev eventually marries Pari, appearing to be her knight in shining armor. However, his mother and his selfishness is revealed, that Pari is still unaware of. Gurinder wanted to become the biggest landholder in the village, so she demands land from Pari's father as dowry. Rajeev had married Pari so his mom could become a landholder. Some time later, he moves to Chandigarh, leaving Pari in the Kakkar house, as he does not want to spend the rest of his life with Pari.

Rajeev is still in Chandigarh with his aunt and cousins. He uses his nickname Sanju to create a fake identity. Neeti is completing her Air Hostess course in Chandigarh, while Pari is still in the Kakkar house. Jaswanth, Pari's father, dies. After this incident, Pari, seeking Rajeev, arrives in Chandigarh. Pari unexpectedly runs into Neeti there and stays with her. Rajeev proposes to Neeti and she accepts his proposal, oblivious to the fact that Rajeev is actually Pari's husband. Afterwards, Rajeev and Neeti decide to marry. Rajeev ends up marrying Neeti but does not inform Pari.
Later, Pari starts suspecting Rajeev of having an affair. Neeti suggests that Pari should go after Rajeev to find out his true intentions. Rakesh arrives in Chandigarh to separate Rajeev and Parineet. He and his goons kidnap Neeti by accident. Although she is able to escape, she meets with an accident. Pari takes her to a hospital where she discovers that Sanju and Rajeev are the same person. While Pari starts hating Sanju, his grandmother arrives and wants to see Pari and Rajeev's wedding in person. On the wedding day, Pari reveals Rajeev's double truth to everyone.
Pari finds out that Neeti is pregnant with Rajeev's child. Thus, she requests the Bajwa family to accept Neeti. As Rajeev feels guilty, he tries to apologize to Pari, but she rejects his apology. After Neeti suffers a miscarriage and discovers she can no longer become a mother, Pari decides to become her and Rajeev’s surrogate mother and continues to reside in the Bajwa house.
After a while of being a surrogate, Rakesh discovers a way to find Pari. Neeti observes Pari and Sanju’s behavior together and thinks Pari wishes to snatch Sanju away from her. Bebe, who seeks revenge from the Bajwa family, takes advantage of this and provokes Neeti in ruining Pari’s life. Neeti starts to believe that Pari is the other woman in her happily married life. She realizes if Pari was not carrying her and Sanju's child, Pari would be out of their life. Neeti teams up with Bebe to abort Pari's child, but all of their plans fail.
Unexpectedly, Neeti comes across Rakesh and realizes he is still obsessed with Pari. There, Neeti and Rakesh form a deal to get Pari out of the Bajwa house and have Rakesh marry her. Neeti and Bebe make a fake DNA report to prove Rakesh is the father. Pari is humiliated for lying to the family, although some of the family members are reluctant in believing that Pari could do such a thing. Pari agrees to marry Rakesh as she thinks it would be better for the family and Neeti.
Rajeev tries multiple ways to stop the wedding, but the wedding proceeds. On the wedding day, however, Rajeev succeeds in stopping the wedding. Rakesh's truth is revealed as to how he tried to abort Pari's baby, but Neeti and Bebe's true face does not show. The entire family comes to know that Rakesh is not the father of the baby, and that the baby is Neeti and Rajeev's.
Unable to leave Pari, Rakesh kidnaps her, but she is saved by Sanju. Later on, Rajeev is accused of murdering Rakesh and gets jailed. In reality, Rakesh is alive and it is all his plan to get Rajeev out of his way. Later on Parineet finds out that Rakesh is alive and proves Rajeev innocent. Neeti gets angry on Pari because she alone proved accusations on Rajeev are false and she thought Pari wanted to compete with her to get family attention and love. Neeti's hatred towards Pari reached next level that she cannot think straight and gets manipulated by Bebe who has an intention to destroy the Bajwa Family. Neeti plans an accident to kill Pari. However Rajeev saves Pari and gets hurt and is admitted in hospital. Neeti blames Pari for Rajeev's condition and plans to kill her in hospital. But Pari escapes and finds that Neeti wants to kill her and the baby. Both confront each other. Pari is shattered to discover the change in Neeti.
Neeti’s truth is exposed to the entire family. Even then, Rajeev tries to mend his relationship with Neeti. However, Neeti files for divorce and they get divorced. Neeti regrets her decision and wants her Sanju back, but Rajeev has moved on and decides to marry Pari. Neeti tries to stop Pari and Rajeev’s wedding in various ways, but ends up failing. In the end, she falls in her own trap and nearly drowns. Daljeet and Rakesh plan to get Pari jailed by falsely accusing her of attempt to murder on Neeti. After the wedding rituals are complete, Pari is arrested.
In shocking chains of events, Neeti gives statement in Pari’s favor and bails her out. She has a confrontation with Rakesh and Rakesh vows to seek revenge. Daljeet gets kicked out of the house for plotting against Rajeev and Pari. It turns out that Neeti has lost her memory, that is why she is behaving differently. She does not remember anything after Pari’s original wedding day. She is under the impression that Rakesh caused her accident.
Due to Pari’s request, Neeti ends up staying in the Bajwa house. Pami is doubtful about Neeti and refuses to believe she has lost her memory. Chandrika is also wary of her, but everyone else in the family believes Neeti has lost her memory. Neeti is back to being the same carefree and jokester person that she used to be.
However, it is revealed that Neeti hasn’t lost her memory. She is planning her revenge against Pari and Pami. Her truth is revealed to Gurinder, so Neeti pushes her off the balcony. Gurinder survives but ends up in a coma. Neeti becomes engaged to Shelly, but Shelly turns antagonistic against Rajeev as he sees Neeti's love for him.

The show was announced by Ekta Kapoor under Balaji Telefilms. It tells the story of two best friends who are married to the same man due to their destiny.[3][4]
Casting[edit]
Anchal Sahu and Tanvi Dogra were cast as the leads Parineet and Neeti.[5][6] Ankur Verma was cast as Rajeev.[7] Dolly Sohi was cast as Pari's mother.[8] Ashish Dixit who played Pari's brother quit the show in July 2022, due to some creative changes.[9][10] In early October 2023, Rushal Parakh join the show as Daljeet.[11]
