Sarteshniz (Persian: سرتشنيز, also romanized as Sarteshnīz and Sar-e Teshnīz; also known as Sar-i-Tīshnīz)[1] is a village in Kiar-e Sharqi Rural District, in the Central District of Kiar County, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province, Iran.

Population[edit]

At the 2006 census, its population was 2,959, in 634 families.[2]

The village is populated by Persians and speak Shirazi Dialect Persian.[3]

Gorz-e-Rostam (Tana) Cave (Persian: گرز رستم) is a geological phenomenon located in North of Sarteshniz village.

Industry[edit]

The village sole industrial complex is Kiar Flour Production Company which is located south of the village. The mentioned factory is responsible for providing the eastern section of province with numerous types of flours.
