Lonnie and Josh are two characters on Saturday Night Live played by Cecily Strong and Mikey Day, also the creators of this characters (with Streeter Seidell), that usually appears during the Science Room sketches.[1] [2]Their first appearance was in the 13 January 2018 episode (hosted by Sam Rockwell) and the last one in the 10th December 2022 episode (one of the lasts of Strong before she leave the show in the same year) (hosted by two hosts this time, Steve Martin and Martin Short).

Personality[edit]

Lonnie and Josh are two young and stupid kids that, everytime Mr. Science (played by the different host of the show) want to make them learn about science and experiments, sabotage all the lessons learning the wrong teachings, instead of understand them at first sight. Lonnie always quote his sister, that she's teaching her about sexuality (she start always every explicit quote with ''My sister always say...'',) and we learn from some sketches that Josh have a father and a lost brother, he want to find with some help. In a occasion Josh's father and Lonnie's mother appears, called out by the teacher for their children's bad behaviour.

Trademarks[edit]

Josh and Lonnie always like to applaud and fist pump each other without any reason, and they like to touch without consent the material for the science experiment. Every word they listen from the teacher in question for them have a different meaning, and they always like to anger the teacher, with nonsensical quotes and sexual innuendos.
