Taqanak (Persian: طاقانك)[a] is a city in the Central District of Shahrekord County, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, Iran, serving as the administrative center for Taqanak Rural District.[4][b]

The city is populated by Turkic people.[6]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 5,504 in 1,433 households.[7] The following census in 2011 counted 5,941 people in 1,717 households.[8] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 6,170 people in 1,942 households.[2]
