Why does the conference records keep dipping into the overall records? Murphanian777 (talk) 21:28, 24 May 2020 (UTC)Murphanian777[reply]

Murphanian777 looks like you got the columns straightened out. Just need to fill in the overall records of the rest of the teams aside from Slippery Rock. I'm a little confused about this conference. Is "Pennsylvania State Teachers Conference" an earlier name of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC)? Or a different organization that was a forerunner to the PSAC? The PSAC appears to have been founded in 1951. Do you have a source for these standings, or least the list of conference members? Jweiss11 (talk) 23:09, 24 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I found the final standings for the 1936 PSAC/PSTC season here[1]. As for the confusion, I have to say I'm not entirely sure. I noticed the conference only went back to 1951 as well and so I did some digging. According to a pdf of PSAC's football champions, "sportswriters" had chosen champions as far back as 1934. It seems like the conference existed in some capacity since then, and I sent an email to a Communications Director for the conference on any additional information on the former conference. I'll add updates if I find anything. Murphanian777 (talk) 23:40, 24 May 2020 (UTC)Murphanian777[reply]
