Size[edit]

This template is ridiculously big, it would be better off broken down into separate components. 78.148.245.125 22:10, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Size Problem[edit]

The size of this template was ridiculous so I have redesigned it without the navbox styling. Pafcool2 (talk) 16:38, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Some suggestions to improve this template[edit]

Hi. This template is still way too big. For a start, there's no need to list all those teams (especially the defunct ones, no matter how notable they were). I think it would make much more sense to follow the example used for English Football articles (like this one and use two separate templates for each team page combined into one table - start off with a small table listing teams in that particular division (for example the BAFL Premier - Birmingham Bulls, London Blitz, Coventry Cassidy Jets, London Olympians, East Kilbride Pirates, Bristol Aztecs, Gateshead Senators, Southern Sundevils), then have a second British American Football template below that showing generic articles - links to BAFA, BAFL, BritBowl etc. The miscellaneous section can go as well, there's only two working articles in there and they're both irrelevant to pretty much every team in the league. If I have time, I'll get working on them tomorrow. B e t t i at a k i l 16:41, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, it's a work in progress, but this is a rough idea of how it would look...

Cornish Sharks | Hampshire Thrashers | Plymouth Admirals | Reading Renegades | South Wales Warriors

British American Football Association

British American Football League BAFL Premier BAFL 1 BAFL 2
BritBowlBoston Trophy

British Universities American Football LeagueBritish Youth American Football Association

The 'British American Football' part of the template forms the lower section showing the league links etc, whilst the upper section is linked to a separate template with the current league teams (which of course would be changed every year. The two would be linked together like this:

{| {{BAFL 2 SW teamlist}} |- {{British American Football}} |}

Any comments / suggestions? B e t t i at a k i l 12:01, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
