Writers removed[edit]

I've removed the arbitrary grab bag of biographies in "Writers" per WP:NAVBOX, which states states (emphasis added): Navigation templates are particularly useful for a small, well-defined group of articles... All articles within a template relate to a single, coherent subject... The articles should refer to each other, to a reasonable extent. Navigation boxes should not be collections of loosely related trivia, nor try to shoe-horn every person, place or thing tangentially related to the focal subject of the template. I'm positive there are more than 5 notable people in history who have written in depth about conflicts of interest, but that doesn't mean we should arbitrarily expand the list indefinitely, nor slap this template on any old scholar who writes a book, paper, or lecture on the subject, even if they are well known for it. --Animalparty! At least some of these are writers who developed arguments about COI that everyone now accepts. That's why they were added. SarahSV (talk) 04:05, 24 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
