Rename[edit]

The template should definitely be renamed (even if assuming current title is good, it's missing "the").

Thoughts:

  • "Traitors" is subjective and arguably WP:NPOV.
  • I can't find another template with larger scope that includes all chinilpas. I think this could be that template; it's currently narrow.

I propose naming the template to "Chinilpas" or "Korean collaborators with the Empire of Japan". These feel a bit more neutral imo, as "chinilpa" is a specific term for this controversial field and "collaborators" is less emotionally charged and broader in scope. By contrast, "traitor" is a strong condemnation easily understandable to Westerners. I currently lean towards the latter, because "Chinilpas" is jargony. toobigtokale (talk) 01:16, 9 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Actually somewhat changing course; there's a corresponding template on the kowiki for just the signers (ko:틀:한일 병합 조약 관련자) that fits this nicely. There's a few other templates they have that may be good to replicate, otherwise this one will get too bloated. toobigtokale (talk) 02:05, 9 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
