Association misnamed?[edit]

This association seems misnamed. Shoulda included the word "Athletic." I was very confused when I first saw this and researched it instead of using it as a research tool, which was intended. Could a supertitle or subtitle or something be included to show that it is primarily concerned with "Athletics," and not a super PTA or NEA or something? Thanks. It's not misnamed because the NFHS doesn't deal exclusively with high school athletics, though it is a primary part. It also involves the state associations that handle extracurricular activities in general. It may seem odd or unrepresentative of the NFHS but it's not. -Jrcla2 (talk)(contribs) 18:41, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The lead to its article says "The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) is the body that writes the rules of competition for most high school sports and activities in the United States." Perhaps the lead in to the title or the subtitle could read "Sports and activities." That might remove a question for most readers of the template. It is obvious to you why it is there but not to a casual reader. Student7 (talk) 22:46, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The color red[edit]

The color was tweaked to brilliant red from a more modest blue. From my pov, it seems a bit too catchy. We were hoping that we could have some attention to the article in which the template appears!  :) Student7 (talk) 20:06, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

My original intent to change it to red was to make it synonymous with the NFHS logo's color, but ultimately it was too bright. The reason I changed it from the dark blue was because I've seen so many different template of that exact same color and I think it's a little "played out". I've altered the color once more to a dark green, which sticks out among other templates but does not drown out what page it actually directs to. Jrcla2 talk 23:49, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. And I appreciate your original intent. Student7 (talk) 22:05, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
