The reason most seasons aren't listed[edit]

In this edit, I removed most of the links to individual seasons. I did this because of a discussion at WikiProject College Basketball (here, or in an archive) regarding the notability of non-Division I schools' season articles. The consensus was most aren't notable, save for certain exceptions. In NYU's case, I left the remaining seasons in that qualified under the following criteria:

  • Was a recognized national champion
  • Appeared in the NCAA Division I Tournament
  • Appeared in the NCAA Division III Tournament
  • Appeared in the National Invitation Tournament
  • Was a regular season conference champion
  • Was its inaugural season

These qualifications are marked instances of notability. Having a run-of-the-mill Division III season with no special merit about it doesn't meet the threshold. Jrcla2 (talk) 14:08, 23 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I just added the 1919–20 season because Basketball Hall of Famer Howard Cann was named the Helms Foundation College Basketball Player of the Year that year. Jrcla2 (talk) 14:34, 23 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
