The Shipwreck Artist J. M. W. Turner Year 1805 Location Tate
The Shipwreck J. M. W. Turner in the collection of the Tate .[1] [2] sublime in British art.[3]
It is thought that the picture probably records the then recent sinking of the Earl of Abergavenny, which foundered of Weymouth on 4 February 1805.[3]
