Tintay Puncu District is one of sixteen districts of the Tayacaja Province in Peru.[1]
Geography
[edit]One of the highest peaks of the district is Kuntur Qaqa at approximately 4,600 m (15,100 ft). Other mountains are listed below:[2]

Ethnic groups
[edit]The people in the district are mainly Indigenous citizens of Quechua descent. Quechua is the language which the majority of the population (94.36%) learnt to speak in childhood, 5.04% of the residents started speaking using the Spanish language (2007 Peru Census).[3]
