Rollback granted[edit]

Hi Ae245. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when using rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Malinaccier (talk) 21:30, 22 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Isaac Mabaya has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable. Fails GNG and WP:NFOOTBALL

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Please undo that move. It was originally put through as uncontroversial when it definitely should have gone through the WP:RM process. Furthermore, the finals before 1993 were not under the UEFA Champions League name, similar to how the List of UEFA Cup and Europa League finals includes finals prior to 2010. Finally, why did you make an edit to List of European Cup and UEFA Champions League finals? I can only assume it was a deliberate attempt to prevent the article from being moved back. – PeeJay 15:17, 31 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I moved the page because it was unsatisfying to see the pleonasm in using two names of the same competition and it also makes it seem like they're two different competitions, which is even more unsatisfying. When I requested the technical move, someone permitted it and they didn't think it was controversial when they performed the move on my behalf. Ae245 (talk) 11:59, 1 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Footballer categories[edit]

Hello. I think you're mistaken about only including players in a club category if they played at senior level. The question's been raised several times over the years (see discussions from Feb 2009, Apr 2009, May 2009, Jun 2009, Nov 2017, Jan 2018, Sep 2019, Sep 2022, some more constructive than others...) but there's never been consensus for removal of the club category from players who had a genuine connection with the club (Mr Newell was at Liverpool from age 12 to 18) but didn't appear for the first team. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 10:41, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Most of the users seem to agree on removing the category for youth players in the September 2022 discussion. Ae245 (talk) 03:40, 16 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
