I will made edits to source more, can I ask why it doesn't qualify as a wiki article? The two departments it is merging from already have their own wikipedia pages:
Department of Plant Sciences, University of Oxford
Department of Zoology, University of Oxford BiologyCommsOxford (talk) 16:33, 27 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Alexf(talk) 12:05, 27 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Your username is only one small part of the problem here. You haven't addressed your inappropriate edits. Yamla (talk) 21:20, 27 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Can you please explain what the inappropriate edits are? I am trying to edit in line with new information from the University of Oxford. BiologyCommsOxford (talk) 10:00, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The inappropriate edits were seemingly promotional, unsourced content with a possible conflict of interest.
For example: "The Department's research spans all levels from molecules to ecosystems, and tackles fundamental problems in food security, plant molecular biology disease biology, evolutionary mechanisms, conservation biology, biodiversity, evolutionary developmental biology, climate change and animal behaviour. This diversity is echoed in the teaching of a broad-ranging and highly regarded undergraduate MBiol degree in biology"
These edits stray from our preferred manual of style, which includes the principle of least shock/surprise/awe and maintaining a neutral point of view. This text, contrary to that, reads like an advertisement.
Hope this helps. mooshberry->talk; 19:30, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for highlighting, I will make edits but please be aware this information was pulled verbatim from existing Wikipedia pages which are preparing to be redirected.

This should have been corrected now by a friend - can you advise if their additional sources etc are enough to qualify for publishing the draft?
I will now attempt to rename the username again BiologyCommsOxford (talk) 20:29, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I will advise you to inform your friend that they should cease editing lest they be blocked themselves as a sockpuppet or meat puppet. 331dot (talk) 21:38, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you - I will ask them to remove their profile! Can you advise if this profile can be unblocked and the page published yet? BiologyCommsOxford (talk) 07:27, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
