hi

[edit]

Hi. I found you in categories of users who can contribute in English and Portuguese. I myself am a native speaker of English, but I'm well on my way to learning Portuguese. Just check out my user page and talk page, and join in any of the discussions. To keep updated, you can even put a watch on my user page, which will automatically watch my talk page. :-) learnportuguese (talk) 21:21, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipédia em sala de aula

[edit]

Campus Ambassadors

[edit]

Hi Juliana! Thanks for contacting me. I am happy to help any way I can. I am working on a short essay about some of the things we have learned about starting the ambassador program in India. I'll be sure to share that with you. Do let me know what questions you have as you move forward! All the best. Pjthepiano (talk) 08:03, 13 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing out that link problem. I've fixed it now, so clicking on from educators week 2 will keep you in the "for educators" track now.--Sage Ross (WMF) (talk) 23:09, 11 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The content of the trainings probably reflects the contributions of just about everyone who has been involved with the education program. More concretely, Rod Dunican drafted the slide-by-slide content, with a design by David Peters (the designer who has created most of the visual identity for the education program), and I translated it to the wiki. Over the last several months, working with LiAnna and Jami Mathewson, I've been revising it based on user feedback and changes in the program. In its current form, I haven't had gotten any feedback for the educators version yet. Any constructive criticism you have for it would be very helpful. If you like, you can leave feedback at the end of the training; the last page has an invitation to do so on a feedback page.
I still have some more work to do to clean up the wikicode somewhat, to separate more of the form from the content so that it will be easier to translate and adapt. But if you do adapt these for pt-wiki, I'd love to hear from you about what would have made it easier to utilize and what you needed to change or create anew.--Sage Ross (WMF) (talk) 00:31, 12 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 05:50, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Please help if possible

[edit]

Hi Juliana, thanks for your message. I hadn't encountered DOSVOX before; as far as I could tell, it seems to only be available in Portuguese and Spanish, and seems to be a simplified screen reader. NVDA is free and has fairly similar functionality to JAWS, but I imagine it wouldn't be easy to learn for someone whose not so computer-savvy.

Yes, I use a text editor for most of my editing. It's a slightly enhanced version of Notepad. The only advice I can think of is that she might benefit from reading the cheatsheet (Portuguese version) if possible. I'm sorry I can't help more. Graham87 01:11, 27 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, and if participating, good luck with the finale!

Isabelle de Charrière

[edit]

Hello Domusaurea, could you write / translate an article about Isabelle de Charrière for the Portugese Wikipedia? She had contacts with Benjamin Constant and Germaine de Staël. A statue was made by Houdon and two painting by Maurice Quentin de La Tour and one by Jens Juel. All of these already in Portugese. Hope you have time to make it.
