Survey Invite

[edit]

I'm working on a study of political motivations and how they affect editing. I'd like to ask you to take a survey. The survey should take 5 minutes. Your survey responses will be kept private. Our project is documented at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Research:Wikipedia_%2B_Politics.

Survey Link: http://uchicago.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_80J3UDCpLnKyWTH?Q_DL=2oczE7SODTUnF5j_80J3UDCpLnKyWTH_MLRP_1RL1gNDrntZJy4d&Q_CHL=gl

I am asking you to participate in this study because you are a frequent editor of pages on Wikipedia that are of political interest. We would like to learn about your experiences in dealing with editors of different political orientations.

Sincere thanks for your help! Porteclefs (talk) 18:14, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request for page protection

[edit]

Hello, I am sure it was just a wrong click of the button but on Wikipedia:Requests for page protection you accidentally added my request for an increase in page protection to the "reduce" section and deleted the request for 2032 Summer Olympics. I undid it so you will have to re-add your request about Michael Jackson. Sorry, I'm sure it's been a long day!HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 08:39, 30 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

And you fixed it, great! HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 08:40, 30 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

January 2018

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 15:36, 30 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hey, I hope you remember me. How do you suggest The Beatles-Elvis meeting should be typed up? I have the sources and will post them by tomorrow morning. ThePlane11 (talk) 15:47, 13 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Comment request

[edit]

Hi. I'm not sure if this is okay to be asked, but since you participated in this, would you mind leaving your comment on this one, too?
Thanks in advance.

Alert

[edit]
This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

Please carefully read this information:

A community discussion has authorised the use of general sanctions for pages related to Michael Jackson.
The specific details of these sanctions are described here:-

Broadly, general sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimise disruption in controversial topic areas. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to these topics that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behaviour, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. An editor can only be sanctioned after he or she has been made aware that general sanctions are in effect. This notification is meant to inform you that sanctions are authorised in these topic areas, which you have been editing. It is only effective if it is logged here. Before continuing to edit pages in these topic areas, please familiarise yourself with the general sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.

I said to stop bickering at the AfD. I'm not warning you again. That includes edit warring. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 16:54, 26 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
