Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to Shakira. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. --Yamla 20:36, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your citation does not claim that Shakira is "a quarter Macedonian, a quarter Lesbanese, and half Colombian", it cites that her father is Lebanese-Macedonian but not necessarily a 50-50 mix. --Yamla 21:57, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cyber metal[edit]

Hi Jotsko, Cyber metal seems better as a redirect to Industrial metal, as it's not really a well cited defined sub genre.. The sources cited appear to consist of zines, blogs and other sources which do not satisfy WP:RS. The policy when dealing with such neologisms (recently or poorly defined terms) is to redirect without appropriate verification of significance from reliable sources. Bands referring to themselves as a given type of music does not necessarily satisfy this. If you have firmer references you can go back in the history and add them to the article. There have been many previous cases where genres like this were deleted, as Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and demands a high standard of verification. Cyber metal[edit]

Hi Jotsko,

I noticed that your article about cyber metal was redirected again to industrial metal. ALthough I don't want to get into discussions whether this item should have it's own article or not, I wanted to let you know that I think it was worth mentioning somewhere. I have added a new chapter in the topic industrial metal with subgenres, including your text about cyber metal. Hope this will satisfy you? User:Brynnar/sig 08:21, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

Genre edits[edit]

I see you've been warned about this repeatedly in the past - please stop endlessly sub-dividing musical genres unless you have reliable sources which back up the changes being made. Readers are looking for frames of reference in the form of articles when they examine the genres in a given infobox, not one editor's personal interpretation of the exact sub-genre that a given act or album may belong to. If you want to go adding Electro-ethereal or Micropop as genres then please ensure they have articles first, especially before replacing existing genres which do have articles. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 09:59, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I had to clean up a few Skinny Puppy pages for the same thing. Chris is right. You need to have reliable sources if you are going to change genres as much as you have. I would suggest using the discussion sections before making changes to genres for the time being. Xe7al (talk) 09:46, 14 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

June 2009[edit]

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to Holy Wood (In the Shadow of the Valley of Death). Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Please do not needlessly and tediously sub-divide genres without a reference and without first discussing the changes on articles' talk pages. DKqwerty (talk) 11:49, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Picture for Cult of Luna[edit]

Hi,

I don't know if this is the proper way to contact you for this... anyway, I'm the admin of alterna2.com a website dedicated to concerts reviews in Barcelona. We publish our contents under the Creative Commons license and we have some pictures of Cult of Luna performing in Barcelona I think they can be suitable for the article.

I specially like this one: http://www.flickr.com/photos/alterna2/3380537962/in/set-72157607747016086/. If you're going to add it please refer "Rosario López" as the author and http://www.alterna2.com as the website.

Thanks in advance :)

Best regards
