Hi. Please do not use The Sun or the Daily Mail as you did at Charlie Hauck. They are not a reliable sources. See WP:THESUN and WP:DAILYMAIL. Also, IMDb should also be avoided per WP:IMDB. All of this is mentioned at WP:RSP. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 09:33, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for June 2[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Antony Ponzini, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Nobody's Perfect. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Irving Elinson moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Irving Elinson, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Thank you for re-creating Noreen Corcoran[edit]

A little while ago I noticed the Noreen Corcoran article had been deleted due to copyright problems, and I started researching her life, with the idea of rewriting the article. But, alas, I have limited ambition so I hadn't made much progress. Yesterday I decided to check if Noreen had a new article and saw that you had done the hard work of creating a good article about her. Thank you for your hard work, you did a fine job. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Warriors of Mahabharata requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Speedy deletion nomination of John Brandon (actor)[edit]

Hello, MoviesandTelevisionFan,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username John B123 and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, John Brandon (actor), for deletion, because a consensus decision previously decided that it wasn't suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. If you wish to restore a page deleted via a deletion discussion, please use the deletion review process instead, rather than reposting the content of the page.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.

For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|John B123}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Please be more specific about film editor naming[edit]

Hi MoviesandTelevisionFan,

well done on creating several pages about film editors!

One word on disambiguating article titles though: You created the pages William Austin (editor) and Richard Bracken (editor), which have both since been moved to William Austin (film editor) and Richard Bracken (film editor). This is important for you to remember for future articles: An editor can be many things, including all types of people, like a newspaper editor or a publisher. In the Wikipedia, a simple "editor" is the disambiguation you will find in use for these types of people, see for example Category:American book editors.

So the enhanced qualifier "film editor" is needed to indicate the subject's professional affiliation with the film industry. This usage is standard, even if people only work in television or internet formats, not in cinema. "Film" is the umbrella term for all audio-visual creations. Hi @MoviesandTelevisionFan: I was wondering why you moved this out of draft when the references are made up of a 4 line profile, a death notice, a machine generated profile that notes he is a professor and a library card entry for something he dug up, not one of them is a valid source to prove notability, being primary and/or non-rs and not of them is WP:SECONDARY source? scope_creepTalk 09:19, 23 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the Help, and would you like to Help More?[edit]

Just wanted to say Thanks for the Help on the Troy Melton page, and...

Would you be interested in helping with Melissa Newman? ...the Older one who co-stared with John Wayne & Rock Hudson et al in The Undefeated, not Paul Newman's daughter... although help on her page, would not be unwelcome either.

I may have goofed using the Help Me template on the talk page for Melissa Newman (actress), so I've been told/scalded, so I'm reaching out for help from other editors directly.

If you look at her Talk Page, you'll see my comments on how I want to improve both her page, and the one for Paul Newman's daughter, Melissa Stewart Newman.

In any case, Thank You! GreyElfGT (talk) 19:02, 13 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize for not responding earlier since I wasn't editing that day but sure I would help out find some other additional sources and read the talk page on what else the page needs improving. MoviesandTelevisionFan (talk) 19:16, 14 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No apologies... I've seen your help there, and on other articles, so Thank You Again!
One thing I'm not good on is sourcing Public Domain and/or Creative Commons Images... the two different Melissa Newman's are clearly not the same person... if the public were to see that, they wouldn't be so confused about who's who. So... and as long as I don't actually upload to Wiki Commons, and only use a Web Link here, in Talk, it's not in Violation, correct?
I'd like someone who's knowledgeable about provenance/copyright verification (and/or Requests for Permission to Post) to see if any of the following images can be safely uploaded and serve as the front InfoBox image for each actress, and if not you, than Who can we reach out to?
Here is what the older Melissa looks like.
And here is Paul Newman's daughter:
... and I think the following are of the same jazz singer as above, but need help verifying before I add her gig's & music info to her article, but here it is...
GreyElfGT (talk) 06:32, 28 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
For the images, I don't think The Undefeated film is in public domain. I use the The Public Domain Catalog website since there are films and episodes of television programs that are public domain. Fair use images can't be used since the subject is still living and it violates one of the rules if I remember. I don't think some of the images there could be uploaded since they seem like fair use items. MoviesandTelevisionFan (talk) 14:03, 28 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Montana Levi Blanco shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
