Question from Gilang setyo pramono on Wikipedia:Contact us (01:37, 1 May 2025)
[edit]upaya saya membuat akun wikipedia tidak sia sia --Gilang setyo pramono (talk) 01:37, 1 May 2025 (UTC)
- @Gilang setyo pramono your message machine translates as "my efforts to create a wikipedia account were not in vain" - since this is english wikipedia i would ask you to write in english, not indonesian. anything else wikipedia-related i can help with? Mujinga (talk) 07:59, 1 May 2025 (UTC)
Question from Ahmad MousaviPour (17:32, 1 May 2025)
[edit]Hi dear friend I recently joined Wikipedia.
I'm experienced flamenco guitarist and guitar teacher
I want to write my biography in Wikipedia I wrote the material once but it was removed how to i write my biography and send the resources or videos and photos needed to who Can you explane step by step? --Ahmad MousaviPour (talk) 17:32, 1 May 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Ahmad MousaviPour I don't think you understand that wikipedia is an encyclopedia and has notability requirements. If you are notable enough on wikipedia standards, someone else will make an article about you, without the conflict of interest. I hope that makes sense. If you have more questions you can always ask them at Wikipedia:Teahouse. Mujinga (talk) 19:32, 1 May 2025 (UTC)
- I realize that thanks for your response🙏.
- But unfortunately I was not convinced 😊
- why I have to wait someone else to write about me
- While everyone says it can be done for example wikipedia on the description was said you can done it for yourself
- I have released 10 music albums universally, and I had many international teaching guitar work activities & i have many concert with my band
- I want to register them in wikipedia to protect my albums and I want to be not forget over time.
- My goal it's not to be very famous at all ofcourse a lot of people know me
- I just write about myself real and without any change and I call myself he and I have a degree for every post.
- If you tell me how to write it thank you 🌻🌻🌻 Ahmad MousaviPour (talk) 21:57, 1 May 2025 (UTC)
Question from SilverChops on Pocatello, Idaho (02:55, 2 May 2025)
[edit]The "2025 Shooting Incident" second contains a lot of poor grammar, questionable accuracy of fact and what appears to be interpretation of a third party's motives and lastly the entire section is an attempt to highjack the page for anti-police activism. It has been 'refined' once or twice and removed and replaced.
What is the appropriate action? I thought there used to be a discussion option for editors to share opinions and evaluations on such things. Thanks! --SilverChops (talk) 02:55, 2 May 2025 (UTC)
- @SilverChops yes the discussion option is still there on the talk page - Talk:Pocatello, Idaho and you have some helpful links at User talk:SilverChops Mujinga (talk) 08:45, 2 May 2025 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I was suggested this. Any suggestions on what I should change? --PMC1015 (talk) 00:13, 4 May 2025 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, how do I make a title please? --Oussama Douhabi (talk) 09:59, 4 May 2025 (UTC)
- @Oussama Douhabi you mean how to make a heading? MOS:SECTIONHEAD covers that and if you follow the links at User_talk:Oussama_Douhabi they should be helpful more generally Mujinga (talk) 16:30, 4 May 2025 (UTC)
Question from Deadfrog04 (15:49, 8 May 2025)
[edit]Hello, I recently edited a page to add a band that someone was in, but this band doesn’t have a Wikipedia page. How do I create a page so that it can link to something? --Deadfrog04 (talk) 15:49, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
- @Deadfrog04 hiya seems like you worked that out for Higley (band) although I would urge you to find better references, that is to say significant coverage in reliable sources, since the current referencing might not survive a deletion dicussion. Mujinga (talk) 20:08, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
Question from Betrayal of Justice on User:Betrayal of Justice (14:42, 9 May 2025)
[edit]Good morning my awesome and amazing mentor! I am trying to publish a wikipedia page about our film. I thought I did it. However when I Google the film Betrayal of Justice: A buffalo soldier story and nothing comes up. Please help. Thanks --Betrayal of Justice (talk) 14:42, 9 May 2025 (UTC)
- hi @Betrayal of Justice i'd ask you to rethink your use of wikipedia. it's an encyclopedia not a promotional tool. i'd advise you to delete the contents of User:Betrayal of Justice, since that will be deleted for being promotional. you have a clear conflict of interest here. Mujinga (talk) 07:06, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
- So how would I get the page published without having a conflict of interest? This film is about an important event in American history. People have been asking if we have a wikipedia page for the film. Betrayal of Justice (talk) 13:22, 13 May 2025 (UTC)

Question from Cajundome24 (21:45, 10 May 2025)
[edit]Hello, I recently found a section with no strong reference and it seemed kind of randomly stated. Should I delete the section or add "citation needed"? --Cajundome24 (talk) 21:45, 10 May 2025 (UTC)
- hi @Cajundome24 either step would be justifiable, it simply depends how egeregious the randomness is. anything that is plaigirised or libellous for example should be deleted on sight. a citation needed tag might be helpful if people are working on the page already. certainly take action, that's how wikipedia improves and you learn! Mujinga (talk) 07:08, 12 May 2025 (UTC)

Question from Footy Archivist (07:38, 13 May 2025)
[edit]I have found a newspaper article of the North Melbourne Football Club which recognises in the football club's 1888 annual meeting, the club won its first two premierships in the second 20 VFA (Victorian Football Association) competition in 1886 and 1887. The coach Mr. Guest (Second 20 Team Secretary) was given a photograph of his back-to-back premiership team and reappointed for the 1888 season. This is a significant addition to the early pioneer heritage of this proud Australian Football League (AFL) club. SOURCE: http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/66149178?searchTerm=North Melbourne Football Club &searchLimits=
Please advise how I should best proceed. Thanks. Footy Archivisit. --Footy Archivist (talk) 07:38, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
- hi @Footy Archivist since you are asking about a football related issue, i would say have alook at Wikipedia:WikiProject Football and leave a message at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football if you still have questions. good luck! Mujinga (talk) 14:08, 13 May 2025 (UTC)

Question from Coolbanana13 (11:17, 22 May 2025)
[edit]Hello Mujinga, I hope this message finds you well. What should be done about vandals on pages? I have reverted the changes but I am not sure if any additional action should be taken, Thanks, Coolbanana13 --Coolbanana13 (talk) 11:17, 22 May 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Coolbanana13 from looking at your contributions listed at Special:Contributions/Coolbanana13 I suppose you mean Fairvale High School. As a beginner here you don't need to take further action, hopefully if the vandalism continues another editor will notice. If the vandalism continues without anyone noticing you could always take it to the centralised way to contact an administrator at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard. Question from Bulletbilliam (20:09, 23 May 2025)
[edit]Hi I was making an article about JJ murphy a man who was claimed to have had potential to be America's first Irish president. I got reputable sources and less reptuables sources. some questions I have is what to do when quantity of reputable sources are low. and second is how to get images licensed properly. --Bulletbilliam (talk) 20:09, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
- I dont agree on the fact these sources are less reputable in this scenario (bloggers) as it was from a third would country with low access to print media and its the passionate people who have nothing to gain from it who are boots down investigating, I hope I didnt come across wrongly in this statement. Bulletbilliam (talk) 20:13, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
- @Bulletbilliam welcome to wikipedia! well the article has been declined with reasons given so it would be good to read those carefully. for images, this link tells you about the process - https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:First_steps/Uploading_files. happy editing! Hi! I've been wanting to improve pages about city neighborhoods, and was wondering if you knew of good resources that explained how the No Original Research policy works with census data? It seems like demographics sections often come from people aggregating census data, but then I see editors in other places saying that this is a policy violation. In practice, it seems like pages end up a little all over the place for this. Would you have any guidance/know where I should ask about this? Thanks! --Erty2000 (talk) 04:02, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Erty2000, thanks for a great question! you have stumped me, so I would advise asking at either Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_U.S._Census (I'm assumign from your edit history you are in the USA) or the teahouse at Wikipedia:Teahouse, which is a centralised place to ask questions. happy editing! Question from Prime Tortoise of the Record Bureau (07:23, 5 June 2025)
[edit]Hello, it's lovely to have a mentor, thank you!
I have come across a page where the information looks incorrect to me, but I am not that confident that I can correct it myself. Is there something I should do to flag that I'm not sure something is true, or is it better to delete it and make a note explaining why?
Specifically, on the page "LGBT Literature in Australia", one of the magazines that is referenced as the first magazine in Australia is actually from new Zealand.
If you have any advice or can direct me to the appropriate Help page, that would be great.
Best wishes --Prime Tortoise of the Record Bureau (talk) 07:23, 5 June 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Prime Tortoise of the Record Bureau welcome to wikipedia and that's great to see you have already found Women in Red :) I think if you have found a magazine that is supposed to be AUS but it's actually NZ, you check the citation to see what it is. You could discuss on the talkpage or at Wikipedia:WikiProject LGBTQ+ studies, feel free to come back here as well if you need more advice. Happy editing, Mujinga (talk) 20:35, 5 June 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you so much, that's very helpful. Happy editing and mentoring Prime Tortoise of the Record Bureau (talk) 02:39, 6 June 2025 (UTC)

Question from Shehu Umaru on Inter CDF SE (00:59, 7 June 2025)
[edit]I wish to introduce the profitable footballers who can add to the progress of CDF Fc. I'm a football coach with total discipline that has to do with loyalty and transparency. Thanks --Shehu Umaru (talk) 00:59, 7 June 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Shehu Umaru I don't really edit sports articles and I don't know if this team is itself notable by wikipedia standards. I would say it's best to ask the good folk at Wikipedia:WikiProject Football for help. Anything you add to wikipedia should be based on significant coverage in reliable sources. Question from Saadilodhi (05:37, 10 June 2025)
[edit]Hello, I am from Fauji Fertilizer Company. I want to update some information and add some information regarding my company as a lot changes happened in the last two years. Please can you help --Saadilodhi (talk) 05:37, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Saadilodhi I would say it's good to read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and then suggest edits following the process outlined at Wikipedia:Edit requests Mujinga (talk) 08:31, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
Question from HannahAbigail25 (10:08, 10 June 2025)
[edit]Hello. I work for a company that has just re-branded and am just trying to update our Wiki page so that it has more up-to-date and correct information (which I think I've done). I can't figure out how to upload the new logo. Can you help with this? --HannahAbigail25 (talk) 10:08, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @HannahAbigail25 I would say it's good to read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and then suggest edits including adding a new logo by following the process outlined at Wikipedia:Edit requests Mujinga (talk) 10:14, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
I'd like to add an article on the Glens Falls Symphony Orchestra. The editor of the page on orchestras in the USA will only add those that have articles. How do I do this? Thanks. --AnnieDonn (talk) 14:07, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
- Hi AnnieDon, I'd only advise making an article if you have significant coverage in reliable sources - what you are looking for is Wikipedia:Articles for creation Mujinga (talk) 21:53, 12 June 2025 (UTC)
Question from Fenderstrat22 (17:10, 10 June 2025)
[edit]Does my name show up when I edit --Fenderstrat22 (talk) 17:10, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
- @Fenderstrat22 I'm not entirely sure of your drift here but yes all your edits are tracked, just like everyone's. You can see your's at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Fenderstrat22 Mujinga (talk) 21:54, 12 June 2025 (UTC)
Hello,
Thank you for being assigned as my mentor—I really appreciate your support!
I want to edit a Wikipedia pageKabyle people that is currently protected, and I need help to get the protection removed. Could you please help me by either removing the protection yourself or asking other admins who have the authority to remove it? I believe the person who applied the protection is not neutral, and the protection is preventing constructive edits that improve the article’s accuracy and quality.
The page would benefit from more contributions to correct false information and add reliable sources. Removing the protection would allow experienced editors to help improve the content and maintain Wikipedia’s standards.
I would be very grateful for any assistance or advice you can give.
Thanks again for your help!
Best regards, Rocher54 --Rocher54 (talk) 06:04, 12 June 2025 (UTC)
- @Rocher54 thanks for the nice message! if a page is protected and you are a new editor, you won't get very far in simply asking for an article to be unprotected. i would advise making your case on the talkpage - Talk:Kabyle people. you can also request edits by following the process outlined at Wikipedia:Edit requests Mujinga (talk) 21:57, 12 June 2025 (UTC)
Question from 100percent ballerina (09:30, 13 June 2025)
[edit]Hello Mujinga, how many times is too many to cite from a single book? I'm writing about a school and especially for things like letters and old maps that I'm referencing the easiest way to get to them is through this book. I'm going to go looking for sources again on the weekend (oldest documents make me go in person 😑) but I was hoping you might have a rough idea. Thanks for being my mentor! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:100percent_ballerina/sandbox is where my draft is if you have the time. --100percent ballerina (talk) 09:30, 13 June 2025 (UTC)
