"You All Over Me" file[edit]

Hey! I was looking at the file that you uploaded today ( File:Taylor Swift Feat Maren Morris - You All Over Me (From the Vault).jpg), as I noticed the file was in JPG format and I wanted to upload a PNG version as PNG is the preferred file type. I went to the source you provided and saved the image to my device, and noticed that the yellow download arrow came with it. On your file, however, it didn’t have the yellow arrow. I inspected it closer and noticed that part of the "T" was cut off from the "Vault", and that there was a visible smudge there, neither of which are in the original photo. I just wanted to clarify: did you edit the photo in a photo editing software? You’re not in trouble if you did, but if you edited it, that means it’s no longer non-free as you would have made changes to it, therefore making it your file, and therefore it wouldn't be allowed in the article. Pixel reducers and image converters are fine because they only change the size/type of the file, but actually editing the image would be altering what people see. If you could please clarify this, that would be great, and we can plan out next steps from there. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 14:59, 29 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Doggy54321 Hmmm, the file was actually sent to me by a friend. Is there any way we can get around this? the green circle on the actual website is really unfortunate and unhelpful. - Peterpie123rww (talk) 18:39, 29 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I’m going to ping Nahnah4 as they were the one who uploaded File:Taylor Swift - Love Story (Taylor's Version).png, and that didn’t have the download button on it. Nahnah, how did you obtain the file without the download button? As well, I’m going to remove the file from the page and tag it for deletion as you (the uploader) said that you didn’t get it from the source provided. I’ll try to find the cover on other websites, so I’ll update this thread if anything arises. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 18:54, 29 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Doggy54321, okay, that works – sorry!!! - Peterpie123rww (talk) 21:58, 29 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No need to apologize, and that’s coming from a Canadian! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 23:39, 29 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Doggy54321 and Peterpie123rww, I actually got that cover off a Taylor Swift updates account on Twitter. I think that the artwork comes with the purchase of the digital single, and that's how they get it without the "download" sign. If it's any consolation, I found one from Genius here, but it still looks blur. Let me see if I can find a version without it, I'll let you guys know. Cheers, Nahnah4 (talk | contribs) 05:01, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Doggy54321: I found a HD version here. Cheers! Nahnah4 (talk | contribs) 05:10, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Just so you know[edit]

Hey! I saw you made an edit to You All Over Me, and just wanted to explain something. Most of the parameters in {{Infobox song}} and {{Infobox album}} already have a built-in list format that leaves items in unbulleted lists. This makes using templates like {{hlist}}, {{plainlist}} and {{flatlist}} redundant, as they are extraneous markup. I’m not going to revert your edit (I’m already at two reverts), but I wanted to let you know. If you don’t know if a parameter supports a list format, check. Type a bulleted list (* Item1<br>* Item2), go to the preview and see if bullets show up or not. If they do, use a list template as that parameter does not support a list format. If they don’t, the parameter already supports a list format, and you shouldn’t add a list template to that. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 21:42, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Doggy54321, sorry – I am learning new things every day! Cheers - Peterpie123rww (talk) 10:36, 31 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

We haven't always agreed on things, but you've done some great work over on Music (2021 film) and we couldn't have got the article where it is now without you.

I tried to add the footnotes we discussed to the tracklist, but I couldn't do it without messing up some of the formatting in the template. Instead, I added two sentences to the Singles and promotion section. -- Ssilvers (talk) 15:10, 10 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Mmm, brownies...[edit]

Doggy54321 has given you a brownie! Brownies promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day better. Spread the WikiLove by giving someone else a brownie, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend. I wanted to thank you for changing all the redirect targets of various "Taylor's Version" redirects from Fearless (Taylor Swift album) to Fearless (Taylor's Version). I didn't want to spam you with thanks so I decided on a brownie instead. As well, congrats on your GA! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 13:57, 11 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Music Razzie wins[edit]

I see you removed the Razzie wins that the film won for Worst Actresses and Director. That's like removing any film with Oscar wins that didn't win Best Picture. It still qualifies as a Golden Raspberry winner. Espngeek (talk) 10:47, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Controversy vs. criticism[edit]

Music wasn't really "controversial", although the media loves that word, as it generates clicks. A controversy is a heated "disagreement". In this case, the film received a lot of criticism for its treatment of autism, casting of a non-autistic title character, etc. There wasn't much vociferous, heated disagreement about it (No one wrote: "Yes, Sia SHOULD have cast a neurotypical actress!!!"). So, I agree with the person who changed the word from "controversy" to "criticism". -- Ssilvers (talk) 16:57, 25 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Did Music actually play in IMAX?[edit]

Did the movie actually play on IMAX screens in the U.S.? Box office Mojo does not give any U.S. gross for it. I wonder if the U.S. IMAX showing didn't actually happen? -- Ssilvers (talk) 22:37, 7 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Ssilvers: It did happen but only in a handful of IMAX cinemas on one night only (Feb 10th)... This is mentioned in the Release part of the article I believe. Hope you are doing well, I've not been around much here recently! - Peterpie123rww (talk) 09:56, 8 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The article says so, but the ref does NOT support the fact -- it says that it is going to happen, but it is NOT a ref that states that it DID happen. That is why I am asking you the question. Are you certain that it did, in fact, happen, and if so, can we add a ref that actually verifies the fact? I cannot find one, and Box Office Mojo seems to indicate that it did not happen. -- Ssilvers (talk) 19:08, 8 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dan "Bernad" or "Bernard"[edit]

There are an awful lot of sources that spell it "Bernard", including this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this and over 1,000 other Google news hits. "Bernad" has only 20% as many Google News hits. Shouldn't we at least note that other sources think it is "Bernard"? I imagine that eventually, someone will definitively clear this up, but it appears to still be in some doubt. -- Ssilvers (talk) 16:13, 13 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Ssilvers: Indeed, although all of these sources are wrong. People reported as Bernard initially (when they broke the story) but updated to Bernad and there were images published here about a year ago stating his name as Bernad. I'm not sure how which one we should include in the article but I do know that the correct one is Bernad... — Peterpie123rww (talk) 16:51, 13 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sia and ref[edit]

Hi. I do not have access to The Times. Is this correct? Also, even if it is correct, can we use the ref somewhere else? I know The Times is the premiere London newspaper. -- Ssilvers (talk) 06:28, 16 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Ssilvers: Hi! Yes, that is correct, it says in the article: "In 2010, after coming close to suicide, she checked into Alcoholics Anonymous and has been sober since." Not sure why they removed it simply because they can't access it!! I'd say it's an important piece of information as it marks the start of her recovery. Maybe worth re-adding and with a url-access parameter... I'll have a read through and see if there's anywhere else it can be added — Peterpie123rww (talk) 13:16, 16 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again. Thanks for the Philanthropy content. Some of the statements are followed by more than two cites. This is WP:CITEKILL. @Ssilvers: Done! Considering adding some information about her social activism too (supporting BLM on Good Morning America, being an open ally of LGBT communities etc.) - would you suggest putting this into a 'social activism' subheading or just making it part of a general 'activism' subheading combined with the animal ones...? — Peterpie123rww (talk) 16:57, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good. I think just "Activism" -- otherwise you get too many headings for comparatively short sections. -- Ssilvers (talk) 17:29, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
