File source problem with File:TRUST patch.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:TRUST patch.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 17:20, 1 October 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 17:20, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

How does X work?[edit]

helpme Your question. --Tom mendel (talk) 13:34, 19 October 2009 (UTC) I have tried to make internal links to existing Wikipedia articles. However, the titles appear in red letters and when clicked produce a page stating the article does not exist. What can I do? Tom mendel (talk) 13:34, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey. It indicates that there is a spelling mistake on the link you wrote, or article with that name does not exist. What article did you try to add internal link to? Ilyushka88 (talk) 13:44, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

(edit conflict; another answer...)

The link must be the exact title of an existing Wikipedia page, otherwise it will show a red link. For example, we have an article titled "Kickboxing" so if I put Kickboxing it will work: Kickboxing. We do not have an article called "Kick-boxer", so Kick-boxer will result in a red link, Kick-boxer.
If you wanted to link the word "Kick-boxer" to the article on Kickboxing, this can be done with Kick-boxer which links the word "Kick-boxer" to the article "Kickboxing", and appears like this: Kick-boxer.

help me Thanks for the assistance. However, I still have red letters. I am trying to link from my Trieste United States Troops to Free Territory of Trieste which is an existing article. I have been able to link from Free Territory of Trieste to Trieste United States Troops not vice versa. Suggestions, I am really new at this. Tom mendel (talk) 15:31, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You have placed a period inside the link. Try changing Free Territory of Trieste. to Free Territory of Trieste. Iceblock (talk) 15:43, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thus, in an article, you would write...

He was a kick-boxer.

...which would come out as;

He was a kick-boxer.

For more on this, see WP:LINKING. For further help, you can either;

 • Leave a message on my own talk page; OR
 • Use a helpme - please create a new section at the end of your own talk page, put helpme, and ask your question - remember to 'sign' your name by putting ~~~~ at the end; OR
 • Talk to us live, with this or this.

Best wishes,  Chzz  ►  13:46, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
