WBAJ (890 kHz) is an AM radio station licensed to Blythewood, South Carolina, and serving the Columbia metropolitan area. Broadcasting under the on-air name Columbia Christian Talk Radio, WBAJ carries a Christian Talk Radio format and is licensed to Bible Clarity.

WBAJ is a daytimer station.[2] By day, it operates at a power of 50,000 watts, using a non-directional antenna. However, because AM 890 is a clear channel frequency reserved for Class A WLS Chicago, WBAJ must sign off at night to avoid interference. During critical hours, WBAJ operates at 8,500 watts.

Programming is also heard on a 250-watt FM translator, W269DU, broadcasting at 101.7 MHz in Columbia.[3]

History

[edit]

On October 8, 1999, the station signed on with its Christian talk radio format and added it's translator at full power in 2019.
