Ziaran (Persian: زياران), also Romanized as Zīārān,[3] is a city in the Central District of Abyek County, Qazvin province, Iran, and the former capital of Ziaran Rural District.[4] People of Ziaran speak an Iranian language named Tati.[5]

At the 2006 census, its population was 4,287 in 1,168 households, when it was a village in Ziaran Rural District.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 4,279 people in 1,299 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 4,749 people in 1,251 households.[2] The village of Ziaran was elevated to the status of a city in 2019.[8]
