I'm glad to see someone else agrees with me! I don't think they serve much of a purpose, other than to make things unecessarily difficult, not to mention confusing. At the CfD I opened on these categories, a popular reason people had in favour of keeping them was "you only have to browse the sub-categories to see all these games - I do that anyway!". It seems to me that these editors don't seem to realise that Wikipedia isn't for people who have an intimate knowledge of the peculiarites of the category system, it's for everyone, and very few people who aren't regular editors will be familiar with any of this and will assume that certain entries are simply missing (as I did). Still, too many people like them to get the things deleted. Luckily we have the secondary categorization rule as a reason to add everything in them to the parent categories too. Seedbot is taking care of this - anything that gets added to one of these categories gets automatically added to the parent when the bot does one of its regular sweeps. OK, rant over! Thanks for uploading Image:Puggsy wabbits world.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. To clarify a little - even "a little friendly advice" in the context of a dispute can be viewed as referring to the Wikipedia guidelines. It would be nice to get on the RFC some review (to see that it's factual and reasonably neutral), and if you think that you've contributed toward trying to resolve the dispute, it would be nice to have you add your signature to one of the sections that's marked for that purpose Tedickey (talk) 10:06, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I agree with what's there currently. The only problem is I'm still not sure which bit to sign - "Users certifying the basis for this dispute" or "Other users who endorse this summary"? Thanks for uploading File:Shortened-taskbar2.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box.
