Disputed fair use rationale for Image:BeruBara cover.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:BeruBara cover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:36, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Evanescence media, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Evanescence media has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Evanescence media, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. WP:3K

[edit]

Hello, thank you for your active participation in our Wikiproject Three Kingdoms! The infobox is a really fine template :) I see you added a userbox declaring yourself as a member in our project, but you haven't written a short description for yourself in our members page. If it doesn't take too much of your time, it would be nice if you can introduce yourself there :) Finally, thank you for doing all the amazing maintenance work around the project when I'm.....not doing anything, heh. _dk 00:28, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Would it be possible to add a new parameter in your infobox showing when the emperors were in office? Thank you. _dk 03:52, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
And it would be nice if you discussed with us first before making all those wonderful additions to our humble project. I'm talking about the assessment here, we have determined that assessments weren't necessary for our project...until you came along. It's not a big deal, but still. _dk 08:07, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi - a stub template or category which you created has been nominated for deletion or renaming at Wikipedia:Stub types for deletion. The stub type, which was not proposed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals, does not meet the standard requirements for a stub type, either through being incorrectly named, ambiguously scoped, or through failure to meet standards relating to the current stub hierarchy or likely size, as explained at Wikipedia:Stub. Please feel free to make any comments at WP:SFD regarding this stub type, and in future, please consider proposing new stub types first! Grutness...wha? 01:43, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Shin Chan 14.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Shin Chan 14.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Ryūlóng (竜龍) 07:22, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Luigimansion sc.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Luigimansion sc.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Wp Sp.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 23:44, 17 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: WPEV template

[edit]

First things first, I thought I placed that template in the sandbox...I actually put it live? Ugh, I must stop doing stuff when I'm tired after work. I don't know what I was thinking. In any case, regarding the old template, there is a lot of functionality that can be added, and some that *needs* to be added. It is very very basic. I'll work on it when I have some time...I just ran out of that time earlier. Also, those switches you mentioned, they are very necessary to non-article pages don't receive importance ratings. I don't write code unless it has a specific function, though I admit I do tend to get ahead of myself. -- Huntster T@C 00:42, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, so the template has been properly updated now, and everything appears to check out...all categories in place, all intended functions operational. A few notes: it is unnecessary to give categories, templates and NA-class material importance ratings, because the template automatically filters those out. I've taken out the need for a disambig category and had it removed; as yet, there are none, and frankly I cannot forsee any possible need for one within the scope of this project. I've removed all additional functionality besides the "attention" flag; this is all that is needed, as any specifications can be described on the article's talk page (and I've worded the bit to say as much). The only real thing added is the "listas" function, which is identical to the DEFAULTSORT function you see in articles. I believe I have taken care of all the articles which would need this parameter. Also, I still don't understand what you mean by the switches duplication functions. I know what every line of code does, and don't see any duplicated effort. If you can point out exactly which section, I'll fix or explain what is going on. -- Huntster T@C 20:50, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, that's fine, it was purely an optional thing anyway. -- Huntster T@C 23:17, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your patient work on that article. I'm glad my stopping it from immediate deletion has such good results. Perhaps you've noticed the fuss at EV. Could you perhaps make the "short-A" version of the logo? Not necessary to upload it yet, but it might be helpful if we have to write something about how the logo has changed. Gimmetrow 20:21, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Followup. If I actually do write up something about the EV logo, I would prefer to use the short-A version for illustration. I'm not planning to do this anytime soon though. But if you have a chance to make it, could you let me know? Gimmetrow 06:43, 27 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Template: Externalimages

[edit]

Perhaps you remember {{externalimages}}. You made new items for it. There is a discussion going on whether we should expand it to more kinds of media. We developers think it best to have different templates for these tasks because of the differing criteria of the material they should link to. So we want to create external videos {{externalvideos}} and audios {{externalaudios}}. You did a good job with the new icon for {{externalimages}} and so I would like to ask you, whether you could create or search for some icons for these new templates. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Lady Oscar b.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:Lady Oscar b.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Giggles HTF.png)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Giggles HTF.png.

Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 11:30, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for Image:Lithiumpromotray.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:Lithiumpromotray.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stifle (talk) 11:04, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (File:Lithium Ss.jpg)

[edit]

You've uploaded File:Lithium Ss.jpg, and indicated that it's used under Wikipedia's rules for non-free images. However, it's not presently used in any articles. Wikipedia policy requires that non-free images be either used or deleted, so if this image isn't used in an article in the next week, it will be deleted.

Would you like to join the Koei Warriors Games WikiProject? It is everything Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, and Warriors Orochi! To participate, add your name to the list of participants and apply {{User WPKoeiWarriors}} to your user page.

If you are not sure what a WikiProject is, it is a club of Wikipedians interested in the WikiProject's subject and helping to improve articles of or related to that subject. I saw you greatly contributed to the Samurai Warriors article, so I figured I'd ask if you wanted to participate in Wikipedia:Wikiproject/Koei Warriors Games. You do not have to, and neither are you obliged; I am just asking. -BlueCaper (talk) 23:25, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Doing regular Wikignoming on Category:Template loop warnings I saw your page User:Armando12/Sandbox1. The template loop I neutralised in an innocent way (adding "tlu|" in front of it), but I do have a tip for you: if you'd just move these last few lines of the page

{{User:Armando12/Sandbox1 |Notes= #Evanescence #Lacrimosa }}

to another page, User:Armando12/Sandbox2 for example, it would work out fine. Debresser (talk) 19:20, 11 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please update your status with WP:VG

[edit]

Dear WikiProject Video games member,

You are receiving this message because you have either Category:WikiProject Video games members or {{User WPVG}} somewhere in your userspace and you have edited Wikipedia in the recent months.

The Video games project has created a member list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership.

All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:

Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Origin (Evanescence album). We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Origin (Evanescence album). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:14, 25 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
