Apollo Milton Obote (28 Desemba 1925 - 10 Oktoba 2005) alikuwa mwanasiasa wa Uganda aliyepigania uhuru wa nchi yake uliofikiwa mwaka 1962.[1][2]
Kati ya miaka 1962 na 1966 Obote alikuwa waziri mkuu wa Uganda. Aliendelea kutawala kama rais wa Jamhuri ya Uganda tangu 1966 hadi 1971 akarudia baadaye, tangu mwaka 1980 hadi 1985.[3]
Obote alipinduliwa na Idi Amin mwaka 1971 lakini alirudishwa baada ya Amin kufukuzwa na jeshi la Tanzania mwaka 1979. Uchaguzi wa kirais wa 1980 haukukubaliwa na vyama vya upinzani na hapo Yoweri Museveni alianza harakati za National Resistance Army (NRA) na vita ya msituni dhidi ya Obote. Katika vita hii serikali na jeshi la Obote vilishtakiwa kwa makosa ya jinai dhidi ya haki za kibinadamu zilizogharamu uhai wa watu elfu kadhaa. [4] Vita ya msituni wa Uganda ilisababisha vifo vya watu 100,000 hadi 500,000.[5][6][7]
Tarehe 27 Julai 1985 Obote alipinduliwa tena na wakuu wa jeshi chini ya jenerali Tito Okello. Obote alikimbilia Tanzania na baadaye Zambia.
Tarehe 10 Oktoba 2005 Obote aliaga dunia kwenye hospitali moja mjini Johannesburg, Afrika Kusini kwenye umri wa miaka 79.[8]
