Edward J. Erickson Amerikalı askerî tarihçi ve eski ABD subayı. Birinci Dünya Savaşı sırasında Osmanlı ordusu üzerine uzmanlığı vardır. Avrassa İncelemeleri Merkezi danışma kurulu üyesidir.[1] Eskiden ABD Virginia'da bulunan Marine Corps Üniversitesi'nde profesörlük yapmıştır. Günümüzde Antalya Bilim Üniversitesi bünyesinde ders vermekte ve çalışmalarını yürütmektedir.[2]
Erickson, Birleşik Krallık'taki Leeds Üniversitesi Tarih Bölümü'nden doktora sahibidir. 1998 yılında New York, Hamiton'daki Colgate Universitesi'nden tarih ve eğitim alanında ve 1995 yılında New York, Canton'daki Saint Lawrance Üniversitesi'nden eğitim alanında yüksek lisans yaptı. 1979'da New York, Albany, Suny'de Empire College Tarih Bölümü'nü bitirdi. Akademik başarılarına ek olarak Erickson askerî alanda profesyonel eğitim aldı. 1988 yılında Kansas, Fort Leavenworth'deki ABD Karaordusu Komuta ve Genelkurmay Yüksekokulu'ndan ve 1985 yılında Kaliforniya, Monterey'deki Savunma Dil Enstitüsü'nden mezun oldu.[3]
